Lots of Everton fans have been gushing over a transfer link to Wigan Athletic ace Antonee Robinson as Alan Myers have reported that the Merseyside club as well as Scott Parker’s Fulham have joined Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United in the race for his signature in the window.
As per the outlet, the Blades have had a bid of £2 million accepted by the Latics, but the deal has not been finalised as of yet, meaning that Carlo Ancelotti’s team may be able to swoop in for his services.
Indeed, Robinson impressed with his displays in the 2019/20 season, so much so that Italian giants AC Milan were linked with a move for him on transfer deadline day back in January, but it failed to materialise.
The left-back was part of the youth team set-up at Goodison Park, where he played in 27 games in all competitions across three consecutive seasons, according to Transfermarkt.
He could be brought in to fill the void left by Leighton Baines, who retired at the end of the last campaign (via BBC).
At 23 years of age, Robinson still has plenty of time to grow and develop in his position, which could be good news for the Toffees for the future.
These EFC supporters gushed upon reading the news on Twitter, with one Blue even branding him as ‘brilliant’:
